Born in Orlando, Florida, to a blue-collar Salvadoran family, I've always held a strong combination of Latin American values and Southern hospitality. Nothing is more important than seeking and speaking the truth, having the courage to do so, and choosing kindness over impulse in every circumstance.

After a successful high school run filled with multiple honor societies, clubs, and leadership positions in theater and the history club, I graduated cum laude and began my time at the University of Houston. Studying Broadcast Journalism and Psychology, I married the two studies to learn present the most well-rounded story, conduct thorough interviews and analysis. Through Coog TV I learned the skills of a multimedia journalist as well as what it takes to make short films, documentaries, and entertainment from both ends of the camera. At Coog Radio, I climbed the ranks as a music journalist, concert photographer, news and sports producer, web director, and eventually concluding as the station director. A constant amid all this change was my weekly radio show, "Hey, There's A Song For That!" which I wrote, produced, and hosted every Wednesday for three years. My time at Coog Radio has provided me with a solid grasp of AP Style writing, editing, photography, reporting, marketing, P.R., and the ability to manage and lead a media organization from disk jockeys to engineers,musicians, hosts, reporters, and everything in between!

In my spare time, I enjoy many art forms such as painting, alterations, crochet, embroidery, pottery, woodwork, and everyhting in between. I also enjoy avid concert-going, turning the passion into another side hustle as a music journalist.
